Presidential Elections 2025: MINAT Boss Appeals for synergy in the North and Adamawa Regions

The Minister of Territorial Administration has called on synergy between the administration, security forces and ELECAM, which is necessary to guarantee a fair election. This was on October 1, 2025, during a joint security meeting with the governors of the North and Adamawa Regions, 4 SDOs from the North, 5 from Adamawa, security forces and regional delegates of ELECAM from both regions. Received at the Garoua International Airport by the governors of the North and Adamawa regions, respectively, Jean Abate Edi’i and Kildadi Taguieke Boukar, together with administrative authorities, the minister proceeded with a working session to avail the stakeholders of the legal procedures. The ELECAM agents are expected to deploy materials in all polling stations; meanwhile, administrative authorities in collaboration with governors would inspect the voting centres to ensure full voter participation. They are also expected to synergise with security forces for the safety of voters. The minister warned unscrupulous politicians going off track to toe the line, noting that there would be zero tolerance for people who are on purpose jeopardising the elections. Once more, the Minister of Territorial Administration called on actors in the electoral process to respect the law and promote living together. He encouraged political leaders who are engaged in the process, noting that their participation in the elections is very important in shaping the history and democracy of the country.
The MINAT boss reiterated strict adherence to state laws, which is important in maintaining peace and tranquillity.
